Tailor-made trips and groups
The catalogue is shared departures on fixed times, and they do not suit everyone. A tailor-made trip is the same team and the same places, built around your dates, your group and your pace. The proposal is written, free and carries no obligation.

Who it usually makes sense for
Families
With small children or older travellers the problem is never interest, it is pace: the pickup times of a shared tour, the walk not everyone can manage, the day that runs too long. On a private trip the itinerary breaks up differently and the vehicle waits.
Groups of friends
From four or five people a private service starts to cost much the same per head as a shared one, and it changes everything: you set the departure time, how long you stay at each site, and whether the day ends early.
Companies and incentive trips
Programmes for teams, invoiced to the company, with accommodation coordinated and one of our people as your counterpart throughout. If you need group activities on top of the tours, they are arranged separately.
School and study groups
Graduation trips and study visits, which carry their own requirements: a named list, parental authorisations where there are minors, and an identified responsible adult per group. It is quoted on those terms from the start, not afterwards.
Honeymoons and anniversaries
Same route, different pace: the panoramic train instead of the economy one, a hotel in the Sacred Valley rather than two nights in Cusco, and only the early starts that are worth it. We tell you what changes the price and what does not, so you decide where it is worth spending.
Photography and slow travel
Reaching sites outside peak hours, staying for the late light, going back to the same place two days running. None of that fits a shared tour, which runs on the group’s clock.
What can be changed
Everything below is decided with you before confirming. The only things that are not negotiable are the ones that depend on somebody else: permit quotas, assigned entry times and train timetables.
- The datesYou leave when you can, not when a shared departure has space.
- The paceOne site fewer per day, or the same itinerary spread over an extra day.
- The transportYour own vehicle and driver, and a guide for your group only.
- The trainEconomy, panoramic or luxury service, with the price difference in plain sight.
- The lodgingFrom hostel to upper-category hotel, in Cusco or in the Sacred Valley.
- The guide’s languageSpanish and English always; other languages subject to availability and notice.
- The mealsDietary restrictions, vegetarians, coeliacs and allergies, passed to the cook.
- Where it endsDropping you towards Puno, Arequipa or the airport instead of back in Cusco.
How it comes together
1
You tell us the basics
How many of you, which dates you are looking at, how many days you have in Cusco, and whether anyone needs care over altitude or pace. That is enough to start.
2
We send a written proposal
A day-by-day itinerary with altitudes, what is included and what is not, and the per-person price broken down. All in writing and at no cost: putting the proposal together is neither charged for nor binding.
3
We adjust it as many times as needed
Almost nobody accepts the first version, and that is fine. A day gets moved, a walk comes out, the hotel category goes up or down, and the price is shown again with the change made.
4
It is confirmed and locked in
Only then do we book: entrance tickets, train and permits are bought in each traveller’s name. The services with quotas — Machu Picchu tickets and the train in high season — are what dictate the final date.
We reply within 12 hours.
Frequently asked questions
- How many people does it take?
- There is no minimum. A tailor-made trip is built the same way for two people as for twenty; what changes is the per-person price, because the vehicle, the guide and the driver are shared among however many of you there are.
- Is it much more expensive than a shared tour?
- Less than people usually assume. In the catalogue the private service starts at USD 90, and that figure is for a small group; split among more travellers the gap per head against a shared tour closes quickly. The quote carries the per-person price already worked out for the real size of your group.
- Do you charge for putting the itinerary together?
- No. The proposal, the revisions and the questions beforehand carry no cost and no obligation. If you end up travelling with another operator, the itinerary is still yours.
- Can I mix catalogue tours with free days?
- Yes, and it usually makes the best version. The catalogue tours are the starting point; on top of that the days move, a full day becomes two half days, or a day is left with nothing programmed at all — which on a trip at altitude is worth more than it sounds.
- Do you also arrange flights and the rest of Peru?
- We operate Cusco and its region, which is what we know first-hand. Domestic flights and legs outside the region can be coordinated, but another company operates them and we tell you which one by name: it is the same question our own guide tells you to ask any agency before you pay.
- Can you invoice a company?
- Yes. Corporate trips need the registered company name and tax number at the moment of confirming, and the invoice is issued to those details. Payment by company transfer is arranged the same way.

Tell us what trip you want
The dates, the number of travellers and the days you have are enough for a first proposal. If you already have tours picked out from the catalogue, say so in the message and we start from there.
